Arriving early? We’ll do our very best to accommodate you (based on availability) – please let us know in advance. If we can’t, we’ll gladly stow your luggage safely and securely, while you enjoy our beach front property. 

Need that extra hour of sleep? Depending on the hotel occupancy, we are happy to extend a late check-out free of charge until 2:00 pm so may continue to enjoy the property. 

Should you wish to stay longer, between 2:00 pm and 3:00 pm, an additional charge of $100 USD + taxes will be applied.


The electricity supply here is 115V 60Hz, the same as the US and Canada with the same wall plug type.

The tap water on site is non-drinkable. However, in small containers located next to the sink in your bathroom, we do provide drinkable water that comes from an on-site well, that is purified through filtering methods and then passed through UV rays.

Doctors: We know a good Doctor who can come to the hotel for personal appointments within 30 minutes depending on traffic, or up to 1h during high season (December – January).

Hospitals: The closest Hospital, CostaMed, 307 Boca Paila Road is located approximately 13 km from the hotel and can be reached in 30 minutes depending on traffic, up to 1 hour during high season (December – January).

CANCELLATION 

We recommend calling your cell phone carrier and getting an international plan prior to your arrival, or be sure to turn off cellular & data roaming and push notifications to avoid charges. We suggest using WhatsApp, it’s a great way to communicate as there is wifi in most places but not cell service.

Bespoke is located 70 miles south of the city of Cancun. The highway from Cancun airport to Tulum is the 307 highway. It is a wide, 2 lane highway all the way south to Tulum. As you leave the airport you will veer right onto the 307 for approx. 60 mins, taking you all the way to Caleta Tankah through Playa del Carmen.

 

Rental Cars: You can rent a car at the airport and drive to Caleta Tankah. Make sure to check the driving directions in advance or use a navigation app.

Private Transfer Service: If you choose not to rent a car we suggest pre-arranging a pick up at the airport, we can arrange private transfers for $180.00 one way - $350 round trip (4 people). We usually book these within 30 days to 24 hours prior to arrival.

Taxi or Shuttle Service:

Taxis are available at the airport, and there are also shuttle services. You can find them outside the arrivals area. Make sure to agree on the fare before getting into a taxi, or if you're using a shuttle service, confirm the destination and price in advance.

Be sure to call your bank and CC, letting them know you will be traveling. This will insure you will be able to access cash. Tulum is mostly cash and we suggest having plenty on hand instead of using cards. It’s best to only use bank branding ATM’s for exchanging/accessing cash.

At the hotel we accept all major credit cards. We do not accept checks. We are a cash-free hotel. It will not be possible to pay in cash in our restaurant or at check-out. The approved payment methods will be credit or debit cards and/or charge to your hotel room balance. Accepted credit cards include: Visa, Mastercard and American Express.


The reception is open 24/7. Our concierge is available everyday between 7:30 am and 11:00 pm to assist you with planning anything in and around Tulum/Playa del Carmen. If your arrival or departure is scheduled at a different time, please inform us and we will make sure someone from our team will be available to assist you. Our security guards are always present to assist you when the concierge team is off duty.

January-March, Tulum high-season, temperatures range between the high 60s and high 80s F (approx. between 20 and 32°C), with a slight chance of rain.

April-June, Temperatures generally stay in the high 80s (27-32°C)with increased humidity. For your comfort all our rooms have A/C.

July-October, This time is considered our rainy season. Strong rain is common but only lasts a few minutes a day. We do have umbrellas to walk around and the sun usually always comes out for several hours of the day.

November-December, Temperatures fall to the low 80s F (approx. 26-28°C) as the hurricane season ends.

Restaurant and Room Service: we have a full-service restaurant on property, offering breakfast, lunch and dinner. The menu boasts a mix of traditional Mexican, Mayan and International dishes. We can also bring you meals to be enjoyed in your room or terrace.

Gluten-Dairy Free: Many of our guests eat gluten/dairy-free, and we are happy to accommodate any dietary requirements. Please be so kind as to let us know upon your reservation so we can assist better.

We only allow children in the hotel. We also love pets, but they too must stay at home.

We do not allow smoking on hotel premises, however, we do have a designated smoking area in front of the hotel.


Safety in Tulum area and Tankah Bay is not an issue, there is a lot of surveillance by local police in the area as well as security by private companies. You can walk at night on the street or on the beach without any worries. We also have our own on-site security guards who are always looking out for the safety of the hotel and of our guests. It is safe to take a taxi to go anywhere, you can simply hail one of the streets. However, at all times we are happy to coordinate your transportation (as a way to avoid discrepancies in the fares that some drivers may charge you).

Bespoke aims to keep our property as environmentally friendly as possible, asking our guests to be mindful of flora & fauna and the use of natural resources. This means helping us by throwing toilet paper in the trash cans, turning off lights and only using the A/C from 6:00 pm to 9:00 am.


Sargasso seaweeds have been recurrently affecting many parts of the world including our beloved Mexican beaches of the Caribbean. Their blooming, migration, and presence is a natural process, therefore we have no way of knowing which days our beaches will have more, less, or no sargasso at all.

We've appointed a dedicated team that is working daily to mitigate this event by removing and disposing of the seaweed from the beach strand so that our guests can still enjoy our beaches.

Furthermore, we love the opportunity to share with guests that Tulum's magic and beauty are owed to much more than its beach location. You will find an abundance of Cenotes and lagoons to visit, as well as the ancient Mayan ruins in Tulum, Coba, and Chichen Itza, or can explore caves or swim with whale sharks. Tulum also has a growing foodie scene with acclaimed restaurants like Hartwood, Arca, Wild and NU. Even after two weeks in Tulum, you will feel like you've only scratched the surface — there is that much to do, we promise.

Please be aware that we are also currently participating in a coast-wide initiative to find a solution to increasing seaweed growth, and we have been active in the various meetings between academics, the Government, and the private sector to find durable solutions for our beautiful coast. The intention of these meetings is to create a government agency dedicated to addressing the sargassum crisis. Potential solutions include sea recollection and placing nets offshore to contain the seaweed before it reaches the beaches and beach cleanup.

Depending on the selected rate during the booking process, a deposit fee will be collected according to the conditions indicated in their policies.

By completing this booking request, you certify that you are the cardholder and authorize us to charge your credit card automatically with the amount due at that time. All non-refundable rates will be collected in full upon booking. In case of having problems to make this balance in your credit card we will contact you by email to request updated information of your payment method.

You understand that any non-refundable rates and special reservations mentioned in the hotel cancellation policy are charged in full on the date reservation is made and can’t be modified or canceled.

A pre-authorization amount of $150 USD per night will be held on your credit card upon check in as a guarantee for any incidentals during your stay, it will be released within 24 hours after check out.

If you book at a certain rate and during the time span between your reservation date and your arrival date the price changes, both parties will respect the rate of the original reservation.

We are not responsible or liable for changes or cancellations made that relate to or arise as a result of fire, epidemics or health risks, technical problems with transport as well as flight delays due to weather or for mechanical reasons, closed or congested airports or ports or any unforeseeable or unavoidable events beyond hotel control. We highly recommend purchasing travel insurance for any inconvenience or emergency that could prevent visiting us as planned.

If you booked on a website other than the hotel’s and need to make a change to your reservation please go through the booking agent/website that you made the initial reservation with to request changes.

A credit card fee of 10% will be retained from any refund. For refunds through bank transfers will be 5% of credit card merchant fee + $50 USD as bank charges.

Any other booking source is invalid and the hotel will keep the right to refuse any reservation coming from these sites. Also the hotel will not be responsible for any damage caused by a booking created in these unauthorized sources.
